Now let`s move on the the list…
The Best Badminton Shuttles For All Occasions
Best Goose Feather Shuttlecock
Intermediate and advanced players will certainly choose a goose feather shuttle over nylon shuttles because of the feeling and flying curve. And the best feather shuttlecock in my opinion is made by Yonex. As you probably know their line of product is called Yonex Aerosensa with a number behind it, which indicates the increasing quality from 10 to 50.

Best Plastic / Nylon Shuttlecock
A plastic shuttlecock is mostly used by recreational badminton players or beginners. Its biggest advantage by far is the longevity. While feather shuttles will rarely survive more than one game, a nylon shuttle will last for many, many matches. Unless somebody sits on it or anything like that. And the best plastic badminton shuttlecock again is provided by Yonex in my opinion. It is the Mavis Series with the Mavis 300 and the newer version Mavis 2000.

Best Budget Shuttlecock
For someone who has to keep an eye on budget and is looking for a cheap shuttlecock with acceptable quality, I would recommend to have a look at Kevenz shuttlecocks. They offer one of the best cheap shuttlecocks made from feathers.

The Senston A30 would be a good choice as well for a budget shuttlecock.

Best Shuttle Bat Brands
As with Rackets and all other Badminton equipment I would always go with my two favourite Badminton brands. For shuttlecocks as well. Yonex and Victor always provide high quality Badminton equipment and this goes for birdies as well. They offer goose feather shuttles for intermediate and advanced players, which cost a little more, but have fantastic flight characteristics and high longevity. But good nylon shuttles for recreational players are available as well. Just check out the rest of this post and also have a look at this one:
Best Value For Money Shuttlecock
Well, Yonex is the market leader in Badminton, but they have the highest prices as well. So Victor is a pretty good alternative. And a really good quality shuttlecock for a reasonable price -and therefore my personal best shuttlecock 2019- is the Victor Gold Goose Feather Shuttlecock.

A really good shuttle with high longevity and a good feeling, when you hit it is the Victor flagship regarding shuttlecocks:

Intermediate players might also go with the Yonex Aerosensa 30. Not exactly cheap, but the characteristics are amazing. Feels great to play it.

Badminton Shuttlecock Speed
Goose feather shuttlecocks will usually come in a pack of 12 pieces, while nylon shuttles are often available in packs of 4 or 6 shuttles. The plastic shuttles come with various speeds. This is the case for feather shuttles as well, also they should be having the same speed for tournaments and league matches.
The shuttle speed is often tested by the players by standing behind the court and hit a normal “underhand forehand”. That should be landing near the Doubles service line. A little bit before before the line would be best, but not behind it. That would mean the shuttle is too fast. In that case the speed could be manipulated by folding every second or fourth shuttle outside. That would make it slower.
